heating pad (don't fall asleep on it though) warm your ear with a hair dryer wear earmuffs or a hat in the house (again to keep your ears warm)

I've had success with above-average doses of regular aspirin. Probably ibuprofen or aceteminophen work too.

Poly sporin makes an ear drop. It's over the counter, but you'll need to ask for it. It does a good job at starting the battle to bring the inflammation and pain down. Know from experience, ear infections and my job sometimes go hand in hand.

It couldn't hurt to also have some extra vit.c and beta-carotene foods or vitamins. I tried that Airborne and it helped immediately.
