I, for one, am baffled by the fascination with reality shows of any kind. I have yet to see one that has anything at all to do with reality. Everything is staged and carefuly choreographed to induce drama. Participants are carefully chosen for conflicting personality types, and producers often spread rumors amongst the cast about each other, in order to instigate conflict. Cast members themselves often fake attitudes in order to facilitate this conflict. I have a hard time understanding what this has to do with reality, and why it should interest me. I realize there are some true reality shows. I think it's unfortunate that we have gotten to the point that these shows are seldom what people invision anymore, when the term is used. I speak of shows like "Cops", "Americas Most Wanted", "Airline", and the like. Most of us now think of shows along the lines of "Real World", and "Survivor", which are staged, and even scripted. The thing I hate so much about these shows, is that there is always an element of competition, which, by nature, creates conflict. I find conflict unhealthy, not only to be involved with, but even to watch. If someone ever comes up with a reality show in which the participants are challenged as a single group to accomplish some task, with the condition that no one is left out, or behind, I would more than likely check it out. Until then, I don't have time for them.

I watched the show last season, and I kinda liked it, but watching people compete, struggle, cry and get ill was not what I thought to be entertainment. I simply dont believe we as humans should have to compete to lose weight, we should do it for ourselves.

I love it. It has inspired me, and i think that is the purpose of the show because it is such an epodemic. I think it makes people realize if they can do it, so can they. I know it does me.

Its a cool show as far as reality shows go, I have watched all 3 seasons

Last years winner in the UK was from my town and now he is helping over weight children,nice when a show inspires you like that.
