I haven't tried Turkish yet, but I would like to. Lebanese is a good pick for me.

Turkey isn't a middle eastern country. It is a bridge between east and Europe but it is considered as a southeastern European country. Since it has a very old and widespread culture because of the broad borders of Ottoman Empire, it actually consists of many different cuisines. However middle eastern foods of Turkish cuisine is more popular around the world. Turkish cuisine was influenced especially by Greek Armenian and Assyrian cuisines which are very old and advanced.

I think Turkish food is the best cuisine in the world. It's one of the many reasons I fell so madly in love with Turkey on my very first visit there! It's simple, but sophisticated. The flavours are subtle and perfectly balanced. If you are lucky enough to visit Turkey I recommend Midye Dolma (stuffed mussels) from the Bosphorous, Afyon Kaymağı (buffalo cream from Afyon), sea bass caught and fried on a boat sailing off the coast of Antalya and my mother-in-law's Brussel sprouts!

It might have a slight edge... it is distinct from other kinds of middle eastern foods especially the pita... it is more sophisticated... but moroccan cuisine holds its own... . I have no idea!
