  • Sure, it is a virus, not necessarily reflected on any certain degree of weather other than colder than what your body is accustom to. You can get a 'cold' more often when the temperature changes more than 20 degrees in a short period of time, even from day to nighttime. some people are "cold" when it is 75 degrees. Others are warm at 40 degrees. Go figure!
  • To the question "ever," the answer is "yes"; to the question "as often," probably not; BUT they get worse diseases than in temperate climates. An important book called "The Wealth and Poverty of Nations" pointed out that until around 1960, almost every tropical nation was poor. Comes from tropical diseases and parasites.
  • Yes. In warmer climates, people go in and out of air conditioned buildings, cars and buses -- so they are frequently exposed to more rapid temperature changes than in temperate climates. Plus air conditioners often recycle air, causing cold viruses to recirculate and move around within buildings.
