I've successfully used Depo-Provera injection for 1 1/2 years and now I've been using the Nuva Ring since January of 2008 with no issues.

I would say a vascectomy is probably the best sure method for men or if you are a woman then getting your tubes tied. Barring that, I would suggest proper use of condoms for all sexual activities which have the added benefit of protecting against most STD's as well as preventing pregnancy.

Condoms. You get a decent brand, put it only properly and unless you have a gigantic penis with spines protruding out the sides, it probably won't break.
