  • It appears that in US politics the politicians have lost the ability to identify the problem as the enemy and now they see only the other party as the enemy. Times have changed greatly in the past few decades. There was a time not too long ago, according to historians, when politicians on opposite sides of the aisle would invite each other over for a Sunday dinner when the families of the politicians would relax and socialise together. Now it appears they are all too busy hating each other to do anything except slander one another.
  • I don't see them as so intertwined. I think it's usually only those that are on the extreme fringes of political thought that generally hold such blatant hatreds. Most people, despite their political differences, are able to find their common ground and accept their differences even if they are cause for contention and/or argument. Afterall we do all have to live with each other on this planet, in our countries, in our cities, in our communities, and in our own houses.
