Has anyone tried the scanner pens for capturing text from a book? How fast are they? Are they accurate?

I haven't owned one in 10 years, I think. The one I did have, worked off a serial port (about as slow as it can get) and the OCR on it was both accurate and quick for the era of Pc (486 66). I can only imagine that they're even better now.

I bought an early model back in England many years ago, and it was fiddly to use, slow and not that accurate. I would assume they've improved since then, but that's only a guess.
