This didn't happen to me personally, it is a close friend of mine. Ok my friend was working at the counter at a store, she had only been working there about a week, anyway they kept making her go on counter by herself and she had almost no training. About a week later she phones me and says, "I think i'm going to quit my job, they didn't train me enough and they make me go on the counter alone". I actually tried to stop her from quitting, however she didn't take my advice. I then told her to do her last shift on the weekend, she didn't, lucky for her! Anyway a long story short, she phoned me again after that weekend and told me to look at the front page of the local paper. It seems that the place that she was supposed to be working at had been robbed the night she was supposed to do her last shift. They held the person that covered for my friend at kinfe point. Which makes me think, what would of happened, especially if they had asked her to do something, in which she hadn't been trained to do. Now that is instinct, damn good luck to say the least.

Someone blew through an intersection the other day without stopping at the stop sign. I did not have a stop sign. But I saw this and my instinct/reflex allowed me to get out of the way before that nutjob killed me. It's important to have really sharp instincts while driving.

I got out from underneath an oak tree and in the next instance, the tree was struck by lightning.
