The locals aren't very big on manners. I find them brusque and thoughtless. Sometimes downright rude. I grew up in the south. I know my manners and I teach my girl's THEIR manners. And they are a joy to be around. There's no reason to be rude as a way of life. I love the architectural buildings and churches. I love the shopping. I love the nightlife. I love going back home, too.

I've been there a couple of times and I didn't like it at all. I'm not a fan of big cities so you can imagine NYC and I didn't get along. It was dirty, noisy, too many people, sirens everywhere, barely a sight of natural landscape anywhere, etc. I won't miss it. I didn't get to see a Broadway show though and I would love to do that.
