Forest Gump was a great movie, but I don't think I could ever label a movie "the best movie ever." There are so many movies out there all of different genres and styles that I find it hard to proclaim one above all of the others.

I suppose it depends on who you ask. It isn't one of my favorites. The New York Times published a book called "The New York Times Guide to the Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made" (2004). It doesn't even have Forrest Gump on the list! http://www.nytimes.com/ref/movies/1000best.html

Forrest Gump is a very good movie, as long as you don't confuse it with reality, but I think Mrs Doubtfire beats it.

but.. but.. what if I really like Spaceballs? Okay, I've never seen it.. Hm.. it depends on my mood. I've got the extended edition of all three lord of the rings movies, which inludes two dvds per movie about the making in them movies. They have been declared the "hangover movies" by my sister and I, they're brilliant when you want to watch something which requires absolutely zero brain activity to watch but is still interesting and far from boring ^^. Other than that, there' the LotR themselves and Pink Floyd the Wall. That one is just awesome.

Forrest gump is definitely NOT the best but its one of the cleverest.. idk what my fav movie is, i just kinda like them all i guess
