Never ignore someone you like. That's not being yourself, and real love is always based in being yourself. EDIT: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your sense of desperation is important, of course. Its not healthy to be "clingy" with regard to your flame. There are some clues to the answer in your question -- you asked "how to overcome that horrible feeling"... The answer is that you're relating to your feelings in a common but dangerous way: the way to handle feelings is to *feel* them, not act on them. This is something that takes practice: you need to be able to "be with" your feelings, to make space for them to exist. That means allowing yourself to have whatever feelings come up: anger, hurt, desperation, jealousy, love, etc. The trouble with us humans is that we think these feelings *mean* something, and that we should do something about them -- either try to keep them going, or try to get rid of them, etc. Think of how many times you've wanted to "get a feeling back". Does it ever work? Never. Feelings are like the stuff floating in the river of life, they come and they go. Our job is to allow them to do that, to experience them fully, along with everything else that life sends our way. When you can allow your feelings to be, they will allow you to be. Then your head will clear up quite a bit, and you'll be able to see what actions are appropriate in your relationship. Neither I nor anybody else can tell you what you should do -- you'll see it yourself with a sufficiently clear mind. Good luck.
