I'm East-Indian but born and raised in Ontario Canada. Could India ever host a Summer Olympics? Do they have the sporting facilities it takes to do so? If so, then which Indian city/cities would make best host? Or does India lack proper facilities??

It is certainly ambitious for India to want to host the Olympics, but doubtful that the IOC would grant them the summer games. India in general lacks a lot of basic infrastructure: airports, roads, power, etc. I think money should be spent on those necessities before trying to host a sporting event. Plus, India has a problem with Muslim terrorists who would love to strike at such a big event. I am of Indian ancestry

India is not ready for hosting Olympics. We do not have proper sporting facility to conduct Olympics. Neither we have trained any great sports person to compete Olympic events. In the Beiging Olympics we could gather ONE gold and TWO bronze medals only!
