I don't mean to scare you, but a skin condition like the one you describe could turn into a life threatening problem if not treated by a vet. The infection (where the pus comes from)could get into the bones and it is untreatable there. Keep the wound cleaned out and as dry as possible, until you can get him to a vet.

Other than the obvious...that is take the dog to a VET! Is there a cat around? It sounds like something bit him in the back (like a cat since their mouths are full of bacteria) and it has abscessed... The eyes thing sounds like an infection.

Yes told sis to take to vet I live in northern florida they live in south florida and they were convinced it is mange I told them no.mini poodle is 15 years young has had bumps on back for years vet said nothing to be alarmed about back then.but after they scalped him big time and being told to watch out for the bumps now believe infection got in. Can they give human antibotics till get to vet?Calling in morning I just might have to take the trip down there and can or should they put any anti botic like cream on it even if you said to keep it dry or what.Ma is 91 and this is her baby.
