  • no. are they any good? i use vandoren reeds.
  • I've played alto mostly but decided on sticking to tenor. I experimented with la voz, rico select, vandoren reeds and they all have their pro's and cons, but today tried a med-hard fibracell on my tenor. I couldn't believe it, it's amazing! I have more control of my tone, I don't have to worry about the reed "drying" out, altissimo pops out without too much effort on my part. I think I'm a believer. I will try it for a while, for the most part, I will keep my wood cane reeds JUUUST in case.
  • Last time I owned a fibracell (for alto) I had it until it looked like it was peeling. It's a great reed and I think it's kinda good that it doesn't last forever for several reasons (hygeine one of them). I let you guys know how it does in the gig saturday.
