  • go to the start/run menu... Type in calc, mspaint, wordpad... press the okay button after you enter each one... what happens...? Did you try removing them using the installation disk, unchecking the items, running the installation, then rebooting first...? If not try that... uninstall, then reinstall... and install over a corrupt install usually won't work.
  • go to start, run and type in this for paint: C:Windowssystem32mspaint.exe You'll have to do this everytime to open it but unless you type in something else the code will stay there. :D
  • My guess is the update that installed was sp3 for XP and many times for a system that has been up and running for some time it can produce a error that system cannot recover from. you will have to do a full system install/format and all more than likely. just make sure system is set to boot from CD (in CMOS) and put CD back and reload. sadly you will lose all data. You can try to back up as much information as possible first if you can.
