Do you ever give anything to homeless people on the streets holding signs? What have you given?

only to the ones that say they will work for money and i take them to my work place and give them odd jobs for 3 hours for 30 dollars!

I give them spare change most of the time. I don't have much else to give them, I usually don't walk around with extra food on me, although I might offer them a cigarette, or sometimes that's what they ask for.

I don't. It will encourage them to continue doing it. I don't believe it is the solution to their problems. However If I could use them for something for which I could pay them it would be an awesome deal, more for them than for me.

There aren't many in my little town but I have given a few dollars to one homeless guy that walks the street.

I do not offer money because I do not want to contribute to their addictions like drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. I offer to buy them food but most of them have declined my offer, I have only done that three times and one person accepted the food.

I've given a cumulative total of about $60 to various homeless people at the corners of freeway off-ramps.

only to the homeless that are really old..harder for them to work. my max was $5 once.. but normally one buck..

i give as I am led to give. sometimes I give a couple twenties. a girl on the street asked me for a quarter. i gave her a twenty, she gave it back, she said she only was asking for a quarter.

I've given food several times. I rarely give any money, cause you know what it'll it go for.

I remember in Texas as a single mom, colledge student, no support, but, help from my family and church, 2 young children that I made stay in the car as I walked acrost the street to give a cup of coffee, hot dog, and gloves to this man on the street. We gave often, but looking back we had nothing, and still we gave, still do.

I work the streets of Los Angeles, its crawling with homeless, I give out A LOT of money on a regular basis.

Yeah, I have. Sometimes my bro and I will take them out to lunch. Its interesting to hear their story and how they got to where they are now...

Always!... Although I try to understand first ... wether or not they are homless or just addicts seeking money for drugs. Many have this ... Many don't!

A flyer where they can get free food, shelter and clothing. They don't seem to appreciate it..So then I give them a bronx cheer.

No because if you give them money you're hurting them worse because they'll spend it on drugs or alcohol. If they were clean they could go to a shelter. I do feel bad for them though. I guess you could give them food but they usually just want money.
