Rob Hood, of The Conservative Voice says exploring Mars for life is useless because, "Life originated on Earth when God spoke it into existence ..." and that hope of finding it elsewhere is "is based upon faulty evolutionary ideas". Do you agree?

Even if you agree with Rob Hood's reasoning, there is nothing to preclude God's "speaking Life" into existence on other planets.

Agree? I agree that he's full of bullshit! He's afraid that if we find life on another planet it would mean we've come a step closer to proving how life REALLY began.

i can see trying to bring some water to see what grows but searching for life is as easy as looking in a mirror... why waste so much money?

Not at all. There could be life elsewhere and what was written in the 'Bible' is based on very limited understanding of how the universe works.

Who says there aren't any bacterium on Mars? I'd put him in Rottinham Forest and throw away the Locksley.
