Every situation where I have used reverse planning. Set a high but achievable goal. Interview people who have achieved that goal already to find out what they did to get there, and what they had to do or be just before they reached that goal. Work backwards to discover all of the intermediate steps that were nedessary to reach that ultimate goal. Every day, ask yourself, "What do I need to do TODAY to work toward my goal?"
