  • No country in the world is entirely free on Racism, but I would consider Sweden a fairly good place in that respect. If you plan to study there, you will most likely go to a larger city such as Stockholm , Gothenburg, Lund, or Malmö. In all these cities you will find large international communities, and many Swedish people are open and friendly to foreigners.
  • It is true that there isn't one place on earth that is completely free of racism...of any kind. It is an unfortunate quality, and not a positive one, of the human race. I do believe that Sweden, and other nearby countries, are far less racist than let's say here in the U.S.. I wish you the best, as I fully understand what you are going through because my family is bi-racial and have experienced racism from both sides. If only those that are racist would look deep into their hearts and minds and stop being ignorant.
  • Racists are everywhere, even if the violence is in different levels.
  • I realise it's an old question, but i'm sure you'd do well here. Racism is a touchy subject here, in a good way i would say. People are sensitive about it. Ignorant people exist everywhere though, of course. I might get in trouble for saying this, but you might want to stay away from Malmö (the 3rd biggest city in Sweden). Either Stockholm or Gothenburg should be great though. If anyone have any other questions about this, i know quite a bit about it.
  • Being mixed you will experience racism any where you go, but do not let that stop you from living the life you choose to live.
  • I've been to Göteborg quite a few times and have yet to see racism as a problem. It is fairly diverse there. It is one of my favorite places too visit. :)
