Nj law to removing personal property from a impounded ceased auto?

    If there were containers of drugs or alcohol, the vehicle will be used for evidence, so in my state anyway, the tow yard is not allowed to take anything out. If not, then someone should pay to get it out of impound, and check the items. Lastly he/she could call the police and ask them to meet them there to get all personal items.
