I don't know of any spiders that do this, however, it has been discovered that spider monkeys the largest monkeys in the Americas, have managed to create a hierarchy that is governed by affection. Here's an article for you - http://revistapesquisa.fapesp.br/?art=844&bd=1&pg=1&lg=en There are spiders such as the sun spider which perform stroking actions, but their purpose is not affection but rather so they don't get eaten after sex by the female. A mating ritual performed by the males before the act increases their chances of escape. A male lulls the female into a state of lethargy by stroking her. Once docile, the male picks up the female and carries her around for a while. He then lays her on her side and awakens her sexually by stroking the underside of her abdomen. Sperm transfer occurs directly from the male to the female. http://www.mypmp.net/pestcontrol/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=26934
