A pedophile is an adult that is sexually attracted to young children. What do you call a young child (<13) that is attracted in this way to much, much older adults? Is there a name for it? And no, this question has nothing to do with myself.

I would say it is a child that is looking for a parent figure. I don't think there is a "name" for it. At that age, a person is very confused. Hormones and and all sorts of other things are going on. You're no longer a little kid, but you are not yet an adult. At that age I think it's easy to confuse "attraction" with the desire to be loved and feel that someone cares for you. Some children use their new found sexuality to attract others, often without even really realizing it. The comparison with a paedophile does not hold water, in my opinion.

There is a recently-coined term, teleiophilia, for a younger person with a sexual interst in adults. Chronophilia is a catch-all term for anyone with a sexual preference outside of their own age group. However, if you're talking about under 13... I don't know, frankly. They don't teach this stuff in school.
