Try flushing your dns. Goto start->run Type cmd then enter. Now type ipconfig /flushdns and enter. This could help if your dns table was corrupted by a virus or malware.

I have cable internet. Cable internet support said it might be a router problem. Then later we had a black out and power was out for about ten hours. When it came back on I had access to Google. So, I am thinking the lack of power somehow cleared the router. I never did find out if other people could or could not get google.
