  • It should mean that the trusted sites and/or the restricted sites are locked, meaning that you cannot remove any sites listed in trusted sites and/or restricted sites. To test if you can control those two areas, start by clicking Trusted sites, then click sites a little below that, on the right side. If there is anything that you may decide to take of the list click it, click remove, click ok. Do the same for Restricted sites next to Trusted sites. If you are able to remove or add sites to those lists then there are no virus controls on your computer- those keys may be a scare to try to make you buy a anti-virus program. When you had a spyware attack did you download a supposed anti-spyware program into your computer? Occassionaly I have heard of a spyware program-Spyblaster) that imitates a legitimate anti-spyware program- Spyblaster and then, when somebody asks for their help, adds their own programs AND puts the web sites that the spyware reports to in the Restricted sites on the computer-so that the pc owner cannot caange the list because of locking the Restricted sites,as yours may be. If Trusted sites and/or Restricted sites are locked I recommend that you enter spyblaster into Google or another major search to find a solution to your situation- but do not go back to spyblaster, or wherever you may have picked up the problem you have now.
