Bleach & fabric softner. Wash them with a strong scented detergent & bleach followed by liquid fabric softner

I agree with bleach...soaking them overnight in bleach and water...dishcloths, teatowels and any other whites....then washing them in hot water and detegent. Dishcloths need this treatment daily.

They are so cheap, why not just toss them and buy more at Dollar General Store? Its cheaper to replace them, than to buy something else to control its odor.
