Get it out in the open and as soon as possible.

I wouldnt care. =) Heck. Its a birthday. Most likely, I forgot it was my OWN birthday. Something like that is pretty small. Though if I noticed they hadnt done anything, I would mention that I was older that day and then at least make them treat me to a HUGE happy birthday hug. =)

I would let him know, how much it is going to hurt him, when I slap him upside his head.

I think even a card is enough but nothing is not good. However, to some people birthdays just arn't a big deal so if that is the case then you need to accept that and realize it is your monkey, not theirs.

I personally have never been known to keep any unhappiness to myself!!

I would say nothing. If he simply forgot, it would only make him feel very bad. If he did it on purpose, an argument would probably be the result of the confrontation. Either way, saying something (in my opinion) is counterproductive. I wouldn't treat him any differently, or make him "pay" for it, or say snide things until he "got it". I'd just let it go. If he treats you lovingly otherwise, why make a big deal out of it? If he doesn't, then maybe you need to rethink your relationship! :)

I wouldnt say anything because I dont expect gifts for my birthday or V day or Christmas.

I would let them know if it hurt me.... its not good to bottle these things up in a relationship. I firmly beleive in confronting problems head on...i have never been one to not let someone know if they hurt me... one way or another
