Get a captive ball ring and wear it on your lip (just take the ball out) for awhile and see how you like it. Then take the ball and stick it on with eyelash glue or liquid latex. Photoshop pictures of yourself at different angles. See what you like best. And you can always change it once it's healed. If you get a ring, you can just go with whatever diameter fits best. If a labret, make sure it's a longer post that normal for swelling. Your piercer can change it out with a shorter sterilized one for you once the swelling goes away. You must follow all the same precautions as a tongue piercing since it's oral, and also outside the mouth aftercare. It may hurt more. It may not, since everyone experiences pain and piercings differently.
