  • I know what you are talking about. My dad is a baptist pastor, and my church is a baptist church, though he was the principal of a non denominational school. It speaks more of how non denominationals can tend to be baptist in doctrine. Don't think too much of it.
  • I was raised southern Baptist and we were very open and accepting of other faiths. I think we are just less strict on some things and only focus on core issues. I don't see it as a problem with Baptist churches and what not, I see it as something to be proud of.
  • There is nothing wrong with going to a Baptist church. I go to a Primaive(Old School) Baptist church. We don't care what denomination you are as long as you believe in Jesus Christ our savior. We accept everyone
  • My personal opinion is that right now, Baptists are getting a bad rap. The world does not like the name Baptist nor want to be associated with us. There are a lot of baptist churches changing their names to community church, or christian center to get more people in the pews, but they still teach Baptist doctrines for the most part. Personally I think that is deceptive, and I would not want to be part of it. I am proud of the heritage of the Baptist church, and don't understand why anyone would reject it in name only, trying to camoflage themselves.
