I think I got this one without even looking it up...how about "The Beat Goes On" Sonnie and Cher!

Very old...? How old...? 50's, 60's, 70's, earlier...? Is the singer Male, Female...? Anything that's already been suggested...? Any additional info would help if you're still looking... ;-)

nope .. none of those.... :( it's in the Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin era... i'd say 50's or earlier....it's a slow song... i'm pretty sure it's a deep voiced male... I want to say .... "my heart sings such a saaaad sooonngg".... la da dee la da dee la da day(or daa) It follows a very close tune to... "When the sun says good day to the mountains" i hummed it to a bunch of people and they all recognized it .. but is in the same boat as i am.. not being able to pick a title , lyrics or a name to it... How Frustrating :P
