  • No, they should move further away from his habitat, but that ain't happenin'.
  • Of course not. The only reason he's there is because we're encroaching on his territory and he is running out of living space. They could humanely capture him and set him back into the wild.
  • Absolutely not! Start a petition - get him saved!
  • what a good question.... Living far away...I say no but unfortunately if I lived in that neighbor with my children...I would say yes.... I know that is totally unfair...
  • no, they shuld just tranquilize him and set him free back in a pond.
  • no!! that is so not fair!! i am going to start a petition here! Everybody look for "gator petition" under outside the bag:Deep Thoughts and sign your name! Who's with me????
  • can you post a picture of him?
  • I am gonna, someday start a website, supporting gators rights. When i do, i will let u know. did they have any name for him so i can mention him on the sight?
  • Steve Irwin wouldn't have.
  • Here's a pic of the poor guy. :(
  • They can put him in my backyard. I love the gators in my swamp. They eat the feral cats that urinate and breed all over the neighborhood. All things serve their purpose. Seriously, though, there are a LOT of friggin' gators around here. In parts of Florida, the gators outnumber the humans. This "Problem" is getting worse and worse as developers are building new housing and shopping developments over wetlands. We're encroaching on THEIR territory. It's to be expected that an animal with no natural predator might wander where it's "not invited". There's only so much land here... and the more we take from them, the closer to us they'll get.
  • i feel so bad....i'm like crying. thanks for the pictures. Did they have a special name for him?
  • Wow, that sucks. No, I don't think they should kill him. I can see their reasoning behind it though. If he's that unafraid of humans, I could see it being a danger. But there are probably tons of other/better options then killing it. They probably could have transported it somewhere else that was away from civilization.
  • i will do whatever it takes to make sure this does not happen again...:(
  • unfortunately, this gator will probably not be saved, if not for a miracle. i am logging off answer blog now, but everybody remember:All living things, created by God deserve equal greatness and power :) God bless Gator Steve as he is called to gator heaven. I hear its a wonderful place. :)
  • Awww, that is sad =[ A lot of people might have just freaked out or worried for their kids. I think they should just make sure it doesn't happen again.
  • NO they should not kill it ,if a person wanders into a pond would they kill the person ..
  • no, i mean come on....If you live in FL near an area where there are gators then it's to be expected.
  • That's wrong. Actually, it's sickening. No, actually, there's no word to describe how low that is. Bloody humans! Oh no, it's something bigger and better than us! What shall we do? Shall we respect it? No, lets shoot it and make a profit! Sometimes I'm ashamed to call myself human. P.S Every other answer so far has been brilliant. Not all 6 and a half billion of us are complete a*** holes.
