How old does a child suppose to be when he/she start school?

That differs with school districts. Our requirement was to be 5 before the school year starts in august.

The school I work at has 3 year-olds although I think the right age is four or five.

At the schools I have known have started at five although some parents hold back their kids until six because they are immature, not well at talking, or not smart. Some kids make the cut off in August and start at four. The average is five i think though.
