I give love freely, but I am pretty sure I have expectations. It's kind of hard not to.

Give love freely but love is not a one way street. Love is a constant exchange between two people. Loving one way means one is being used.

Great question. I try, but it's a work in progress. All relationships are exchanges of one kind or another. It's hard not to give love without wanting it in return. But I try to focus on giving it freely and letting go of those expectations as much as humanly possible.

I would love to say yes, but I need to get love back, one sided love, sucks. I think, you would find more joy, in giving and receiving love, than, just giving, so I do not agree with that quote.
