Their attitude about life. If a person isn't happy being here, it's a big mark against a possible relationship.

Someone with whom I can have a conversation. However, looks generally come first and for me that means a pretty face and nice legs leading to a heart shaped pooper. But after the looks department, if you're talking long term, I need some intelligence.

Establishing a comfort zone. Having a sense of compatibility early on. I could talk about physical features, and I could talk about common interests or personality traits. But I think everything really begins with that first moment you feel that indescribable spark with someone else.
