  • Mount Lebanon gets its name from two Cedar-of-Lebanon (Cedrun Libani) trees that were planted in the 1850’s on the property of a local Presbyterian minister. Mount Lebanon became a township in 1912. The only remnants of the trees are three gavels made of the original wood.
