I don't think they are any of those things, and I believe their open to a relationship with the right person...There's nothing wrong with knowing what you want/need, and not settling for anything less.

I don't actually agree with this question. I don't think childfree women are selfish. Not wanting to have children is becoming increasingly common, a convenient trend considering that people are living longer and population growth tends to happen exponentially. Having less children also tends to be more common among the educated, so it's not necessarily a bad sign. A woman not wanting to have kids doesn't mean she's selfish. It just means she doesn't want to have kids. I don't see a problem with that.

Most assume that because they only have themselves to ultimately think about and take care of while the mothers feel they sacrifice all of themselves for their children.

Most of the people who think the childfree are selfish are parents. I know I have to deal with harassment too, and I'm a childfree guy. Its really none of their business on what kind of decisions others make.

I don't think they're selfish. They are smart. Women that have children they don't really want are selfish. Women who think it'll keep a man to have a child, that's selfish. Women who have childen when they can't take care of one are selfish. You can have a great relationship without children.

I have never heard that one before, I do know that some people with out children find other peoples kids annoying...

Women have that tendency to struggle more than men, if they're not prepared to have kids It's a smart choice that they don't. There's many factors as to why they won't reproduce, think about it! Money, education, stability those are the reasons why I haven't had more than one kid, lately.

I don't think that - I see them as more of the smarter ones personally - I mean really - Kids are great BUT if a woman doesn't want the responsibility of having to find sitters, change diapers, leave work early for appointments and so on and so fourth them why would she be considered "selfish"? Selfish is when you have kids and pawn them off on others expecting them to welcome them with open arms when you claim to only being gone a "couple" hours. Being selfish is having kids you can't afford and having the state pay for kids THEY don't want. NOT everyone cares to hear a kid cry, whine, beg or throw fits. Sure their cute for the most part but there is so much more behind the baby goo goo's and gaa gaa's. Heck, Childfree women can come and go as they please WHENEVER they please. No having to make sure their back to pick up their kid(s), no having to think about having food in the house... Childfree woman have clothes without spit up stains and formula circles. I envy Childfree woman... I was one for MANY years - then "Ooops" my little angel came along. I didn't want her before I found out I was pregnant but now that I have her, I love her, she's mine and I wouldn't trade her for the world. But kids are not just another plate to set on the table or another pair of shoes to find their little people who have to be trained and trained WELL consistently- Some people aren't even well trained themselves so to all the "Childfree" women out there... Live it up, Drink one for me and come home whenever you feel like it!!
