  • I wouldn't. If everyone had that right, then everyone would be equal in their level of education and level of medical treatment, thereby ruling out all considerations of merit, self-worth, and competition. Without competition in medical care, you receive the very minimum in care, and the doctors are simply providing a service. There is no guarantee that they are good at it, or have to be. I see this happen at the free clinic I had worked for. The care was sub-standard at best because the doctors didn't have to go beyond minimum standards. The same would hold true for jobs - if everyone was allowed as much time as they wanted for any college degree - then the substandard people would be obtaining the same degrees that the brilliant minds of our time are. And would thusly be allowed the same jobs, and only provide substandard performance versus the others capable of achieving more by their hard work. "equal" sometimes "enables". Not always a good thing.
