What's going on with people nowadays? When I ask a question, I want straight answers but usually end up getting a question answered with another question. This is especially true with dealing with computer "nerds." Obfuscation is annoying.

You will notice that poorly worded questions, vague questions, open ended questions, rhetorical questions, things written in texting hieroglyphics, and questions so convoluted by poor grammar that they are indecipherable tend to illicit the type of reply you mention. However, those questions that are well constructed as to be clear and precise (and spelled correctly to leave no room for ambiguity or misinterpretation) more often than not are given b lack and white responses. Try wording questions in such a way that there is no room for ambiguity. After that you are at the mercy of your fellow participants.

Because not all questions are answerable in a straightforeward way... it depends on the question.
