Except for very strict or Orthodox Catholicism, I think that'd be fine and even encouraged. I've never seen any sort of problem occur with such behavior.

If you're married, not at all. My hubby and I hold hands and he sometimes puts his arm around me.

Personaly I wouldn't care because it's their business. But I do hope that as much as possible, they refrain from doing that. How long is a mass anyways? An hour? What's one hour of restraining yourselves? People can do those things for hours and hours after going to church. There's a time and place for everything.

Go for it...well, not literally...save that until you get home. But yah, show some affection...it's sweet.

if you did that in a catholic church you would run the risk of getting nailed by a nun.

no. it's not weird to hold hands during church. i've done it plenty of times. just make sure you don't go any further than that. no physical affection should be done like kissing or rubbing against one another. i'm just glad 2 people showed up for church and holding hands is not a concern. paying attention to the word of God is what counts and not looking at the people sitting in the pew. if you find yourself looking at others instead of listening to the Word of God, then pray a little harder.

Yeah, that is rather odd. I am so happy that over 16 years ago I have quit all religion. I am better off because I keep a strong moral code anyway. I don't need that crap.
