as long as it is for the Want's and not Need's... I have no problem with not shopping, in fact I would be quite happy to give up going to the mall and standing in one store for 3-4 hours to look at a few tops and not buy anything :-( I hate going shopping with my friends.. I go in the store, grab what I need and then leave, no browsing.

No, because I cannot produce my own food and clothing. I am a completely unpractical big city citizen who depends on shopping for almost anything. I can only write myself.
