  • I don'tknow the answer to this one. I think it takes a certain type of person who deals with power in a much different way than I do. However, I believe that that may be one of the requirements of the job --to be like that. It is not a job that I would ever want/nor ever be able to do. I admire them and I can certainly see how burnouts happen.
  • It would be way easier to trust the good cops, but the bad ones make it tougher to do.
  • There are good cops and bad cops. Power is meant for those who don't desire it.
  • I'll begin with a quote from an excellent article about this: "A high level of trust between the community and the police is a fundamental necessity for a civil society. Police are charged with the special responsibility of protecting us and enforcing our laws, and therefore, are in positions of power in our communities. But too often throughout the U.S. the police act irresponsibly, abuse their power, and violate our trust". • I guess we're forced to trust cops, their our only buffer against the bad guys, thank god there's a lot more good cops then bad....
  • there are good and bad, like in every job, And both types can bust you. you know it's usually the good ones that do.(irony)
