Watch something that has peaceful images.

Imagine something better! Lay down, close your eyes and imagine a field of colorful butterflies, vibrant green grass, and maybe a nice cascading waterfall. If the disturbing images come to mind just remember it is only TV, there is nothing to fear, it is not real.

Watch another film that has the opposite imagery and teel yourself that what you saw wasn't real... wqhat film may I ask?

Ask yourself what you find disturbing about it. What is affecting you in a personal manner? Talk out loud to yourself if that helps, just speak about your impressions and feelings. You might realize just what specifically is bothering you about it. Of course, maybe it was just really scary and there's nothing you can pinpoint, but you might find out that an image reminded you of something else bothersome. Sometimes when our minds are stuck on something it's because we're trying to work out an association that our conscious mind isn't seeing. Or try visualization, when the images come into your head, follow them with an image of powerful waves washing them away, and leaving clean smooth sand behind, or something like that.
