Would I be right if I said that women are much more discreet than men are when it comes to looking at someone they find attractive?

Probably, but that is not always a good thing. There are women who sometimes feel a lack of attention, and mens unsubtle approbation can make them feel better, so they dress to get a kind of high from the attention. Us men are happy to oblige. In general men don't like to think they are getting hunted, as they feel they are not in control of the situation. The truth that they never were in control does not matter - it is the assumption that counts. So women tend to be more subtle, to avoid being seen as a man-eater, while men are less subtle, feeding womens' self-confidence.

Many women try to control their men's looking at other women- then find themselves having to not look at other men so they will not be critized. Usually the talk is about the women who use a different(so-called double) standard- their men may not look at other women while the women look at other men.
