Many are good. I personally like Olay.

No don't use Olay. What you need to do is seal the moisture that is already in your skin. My girlfriend is a bio-chemist who specializes in spectroscopy, I hope I said that right. But any ways, she recommended a cocoa butter based moisturizer after a shower, let it set on your face for a while then wipe it dry. Then go over it again with 100% pure shea butter, the hard waxy stuff works best. The chemicals in Olay and other products are very expensive and only deliver people false hope and false promises. Many beauty products are just a scam, so sayeth my girlfriend. She recommends you find more natural based products like Burts Bee's, which is one of her favorites. She recommends you to research the ingredients of the products you use on the internet. - I never heard of or met anyone allergic to Burt's Bee's. But I have heard that many people are allergic to almond oil and other nut or peanut based products. Everyone is differant.

I use Aqueous cream. You'll usually find it in the babycare or healthcare section of the chemists or supermarket and it'll cost you about £3 for a huge pot. Its basically a parrafin based cream that is soothing and lightly moisturising without all the rubbish they put in commercial moisturisers, which means its perfect for sensitive skin. I first started using it because it was cheap, but now I wouldn't use anything else- it leaves your skin soft and smooth but not greasy and reduces any redness from sunburn etc. Most other moisturisers I find either bring me out in a rash or give me spots- probably because of a reaction to some of the dubious ingredients. Its also a great body moisturiser. So definetly, go for the basics!

In addition to aqueous cream, which I find is an excellent base for makeup etc (I have combination dry/oily skin), Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream is great for really bad bouts of dry skin. It's great for cracked/chapped lips, and it can be used for minor burns/abrasions/sun burn/dry skin. On the aqueous cream, I'd specifically recommend Dermol500, because it is also a mild antiseptic, so it's better than some aqueous creams at preventing spots. If you can't get Dermol then ask your pharmacist for its equivalent.

cocoa butter and shea butter !

i use jojoba oil. you can get a bottle for around $7 at trader joe's. it softens my skin like nothing else! i was wary about putting oil on my face, but really, you just need a couple drops to enter pure heaven, ie. smooth, soft, and CLEAR! skin. from what i've read, jojoba oil is similar in properties to human sebum, so when it is applied, our body thinks we have enough oil on our faces and makes sure it doesn't overdo it on oil production, hence no breakouts :)

The best is Hope in A Jar by Philosophy. Never greasy. Helps your skin exfoliate. Moisturizing. For dry skin..Channoine Creme de Beaute. Epensive but worth it if you are dry or aging.

I love Collagen-Elastin face cream/moisturizer. It is cheap and you can get it anywhere. I have tried VERY expensive face creams and I still love my Collagen-Elastin the best!

Using any product with alcohol is BAD. It dries the skin. I use plain olive oil. I am 66 and people guess my age at 45. I've used it for many years. It really hydrates when nothing else will fill out the skin. All my friends are using it and love it. So cheap as well.

My wife prefers Oil of Ulan.

It all depends on your skin. Some people don't use creams or products and they have flawless skin. The best way to know is to visit your dermatologist.

You can't beat the yellow Clinique moisturizer. I have really sensitive skin and it's great.
