  • Passive aggressive behavior is behavior designed for a person to get their way, or show resentment, without overtly and directly seeming to do so. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passive-aggressive
  • Passive-aggressive behavior refers to passive, sometimes obstructionist resistance to following authoritative instructions in interpersonal or occupational situations. It can manifest itself as resentment, stubbornness, procrastination, sullenness, or repeated failure to accomplish requested tasks for which one is, often explicitly, responsible. It is a defense mechanism and more often than not only partly conscious. For example, people who are passive-aggressive might take so long to get ready for a party they do not wish to attend that the party is nearly over by the time they arrive.

  • Ok well maybe someone is flipping you a bunch of shit and you kind of take it. Then you walk out and piss on their car as you leave.
  • Passive Agressive is when a person, instead of outwardly opposing something (and actually saying 'no'), they instead opt for a quieter method. Eg. I demand that you clean the car blah blah. You do not want to do it but instead of telling me "No way, do it yourself - don't tell me what to do", you don't really say anything much and, outwardly it appears that you will comply. However, despite the impression you are creating (that you will clean it), what you actually do is find ways to sabotage the request (excuses) and do not end up doing it at all. You may agree to do it tomorrow but when tomorrow arrives, you will find another reason, or just not mention it. Everytime I say it again, you will automatically create an obstacle so that you cannot carry out the job. You may not actually tell me, but you quietly sabotage every opportunity that arises for you to clean the car and never end up doing it at all.
