Interestingly enough I have noticed that stars in general who date non-stars tend to meet them in 2 places: -Work. Somebody who works for their record company for example. -At a restaurant or bar. (This accounts for the majority) Another option is to attend charity events that are open to everyone. I just happend to be in L.A. in the late 80s and a friend of mine at the time mentioned that he was interested in checking out the Amnesty International fundraiser. Mind you he was as much a "nobody' as I am. No star status needed, it was open to all. Bono was there (sans U2) as was Tony Kaye (he was with Yes for awhile). We ended up sitting at the latters table. So, if a celebrity, in this case a rock star, is reported to dine in a particular restaurant frequently or go to a specific bar, that's a good place to start. There was another question asked by somebody who wanted to know how to meet and date supermodels. I was in London last year and at a bar in Notting Hill. Kate Moss was there and frequents the place so my date (who is a local and I am not) told me. Hope this helps :) UPDATED: Not likely, but that does not make the answer incorret.

Ok, two straightfoward answers: 1) It's to hard for a 'regular guy' to get anywhere near a rockstar with the security these days and they probably wouldn't take notice anyway. And 2) The rockstar would think you were just using them for their money and totally disregard you. Sorry, but its one chance in a million!
