Do anti-bacterials or anti-biotics kill human tissue along with the infection? if not, why not?

Oh good grief. Right...basically, an antibacterial drug targets structures or processes that are unique to bacteria, for example they can act to lyse the bacterial cell wall (which mammalian cells do not have) or interfere with the bacterial system of protein synthesis for example.
