  • I understand that some people may feel this way, but for ime its hard to conceptualise. To me, the brain is required to fucntion in order to make a choice. I do believe that the spirit is there from the moment of conception- but that ability to make a choice about being born, is hard to concieve without the tools required to think and decide. However, if you take the concept of reincarnation, maybe theres something to it :) PS- Really good question!
  • Richard Dawkins once said "There is this thing called 'being so open minded that your brain falls out." No, I don't believe in anything supernatural, including souls. And I think this is a wrong use of the term open minded. I think we should be open minded and tolerant for example towards strange, new food. For different cultures. But not towards unproven absurdities.
  • Yes I do think this is true. I also agree with orangy energy even though it is hard to understand we don't need bodies, brains, ect. on the other side. We choose if we want to be born and we choose the lessons we want to learn when we are back in this world.
  • What about those born with brain damage or deformed with missing limbs? Is there a lesson learn from this? Fear of the unknown is in all of us. Life is thrust on us. We go through life learning, until our bodies die. The spirit of who we are, moves on. I wonder if we learn from our lessons, or mistakes. I would hate to think you live and die, and that's it. Could it be, we go back to our creator with a better understanding of what it means to be human? If there is an answer out there, we will all find out in the end.
  • Yes I am!
  • It would be nice to imagine something like that. I would not rely too much on this kind of things, though.
  • No, this is not a possibility. We don't exist in any shape and form before the night of our conception and do not develop a spirit until after birth. This is what I believe; no exceptions.
