Does it annoy you when people ask questions for points, rather than answers?

very much actually when I came to this website I expected a community where people help each other by answering serious questions, not an unusual forum...

Yes, sort of, there are some users out there who ask really simple questions that you could easily find the answer for using Google or Wikipedia, but ask them anyway. They reward the answers with points heedless of the answer's accuracy or humor. The point system is a double-edged sword.

Yeah it is a little annoying, but I tend to just not give them points for it...

Yes it does. And often, when I see someone just asking for points and not reading or giving points in return, not even comment, I start to ignore those questions. I don't like Point Farmers.
