  • Contact the Social Security Administration and ask them.
  • This will vary by state. In California, an employer must pay you within 72 hours if you quit (immediately if you are fired). It does not matter that the employer failed to get a SS# beforehand or not. Most states are protective of employees and follow a similar rule. But again, it does vary by state.
  • Just wondering why you didn't give them a copy of your social security card. How did you expect them to be able to pay you? They have to fill out paper work and send it to the SSA. You should not have been able to work without giving it to them. Was this your first job? Three days is not a very long time to work anywhere.
  • I worked at a job for 3 days also, they mailed me my check on the normal payday and i got it 2 days later.
