No probably not, it just leaves it on the floor and tries to show you what a good job it has done.

Luckily my cat is a genius with body language. If I don't respond much, it leaves it there; if I jump up and down and wave my arms about, it gets the hint and guiltily grabs it and heads for the hills. It's a great system

After it's gone to all that trouble to bring you a gift, do you really have the nerve to expect it to take it away?
